State of the Art Conferences
SOA's are conferences attended by select groups of specialists, who, after undergoing a facilitator training and workshop, serve to facilitate UMED's outreach seminars. The representative faculty from leading foreign and local medical teaching institutions serves as key speakers on the appropriate subjects for the State of the Art Conferences. Through the SOA's, UMED is able to provide its members the latest medical information on selected topics.

Outreach Conferences
UMED conducts problem-based discussion in small interactive groups that encourage participation to optimize learning through outreach conferences. The interactive sessions are led by and moderated by specialist-facilitators primarily trained for this purpose. Module workbooks on different topics serve as springboard for discussion and also serve later as a handy reference in the doctor's office.

UMED provides its circle of mentors trainings and workshops that will enhance the skills as a facilitator and as a medical practitioner.
