Due to the rising number of cases of dengue fever in the country, the Philippine Pediatrics Society (PPS) formed the Dengue Working Group to formulate guidelines on dengue hemorrhagic fever and dengue fever. Unilab Medical Education and Development (UMED) and Scientific Databank (SDB) assist the group led by Dr. Jaime Santos pf Philippine Children's Medical Center (PCMC) in facilitating the discussion. UMED's Beth Fadul organizes the interactive sessions and SDB's Leiah Pascual with the assistance of Fely Juanillo and Khriz Ventura provides the PPS Dengue Working Group with clinical studies on the epidemiology, pathogenesis, clinical presentation, management, diagnosis, prevention and control. The group discussion series were attended by Unilab-Medical Affairs Vice President Dr. Alexander Tuazon and UMED Executive Director Dr. Edgardo Ortiz.
