On March 20, Unilab’s affiliates from Indonesia, specifically from PT-Darya Varia, visited Scientific Databank (SDB) of Medical and Regulatory Affairs Division. This trip was in line with their company’s plans of putting up their own Scientific Database, just like the one being offered by SDB.

Robert Saw, the head of SDB, showed and explained the process of putting up the database to the Indonesian guests - - Budi Irawan, the Information and Communications System Director, Dr. Evi Armilasari, the Medical Affairs Manager, Dhidi Mulyad, the Applications Support Manager and Suando Sidauruk, the Web Developer. Also present to explain the technical aspect of putting up a database were Pamella Eleonor Chiong and Jayson Cristobal from the Workgroup Solutions team of Unilab’s Corporate IT. Raymond Hilay, a representative of UL International and Rosemarie Reyes of UMED were also in attendance.

Aside from the e-Scientific Database, Robert Saw also presented another service that the SDB provides. This is the e-MD Central, the first and only 24-hour full text on-line delivery service. This enables the doctors to request for articles that they need and receive them within 24 hours.

Really, the goal of being the number one healthcare provider in the field is starting to be realized through plans like. Enhancement of the quality of services and providing accurate and reliable information are among the things that we can really be proud of.
